The night in Cherapunjee is destined to be one of intrigue and wonder. On your 3rd Day on your Shillong Trip with your family we set off to Mawlynnong village, where cleanliness is a way of life. The most convenient way to reach Shillong is by flying to Guwahati, which is well-connected to major Indian cities. From Guwahati, it's a scenic drive of approximately 3-4 hours to Shillong.     We kick things off by landing at Guwahati airport or the railway station. From there, we head straight to our cozy abode in Shillong. Along the way, we make a pit stop at Umian Lake and soak in the beauty of Mawdok valley. Our night's rest will be in Shillong.

    Shillong to Cherapunjee

    After a hearty breakfast, we chase waterfalls – the Nohkalikai falls to be exact. We also delve into the mysterious Mawsmai cave, revel in the beauty of Seven Sisters' falls, and savor the panoramic views from Shillong Peak. Then, we hit the road to Cherapunjee, where we'll lay our heads for the night.

    After breakfast, we embark on a journey to Mawlynnong, known as Asia's cleanest village. The winding roads and breathtaking Shillong plateau views will greet us along the way. Post-lunch, we're off to Dawki, home to the magnificent Umngot river. Finally, we return to Shillong for another night's stay.
